Frequently Asked Questions

Longleaf and Loblolly are the two species of planted pines on the property. There are also Maple, Red Oak, White Oak, Cedar & Virginia Pines that have naturally seeded on the farm.

The farm was named in Cherokee to honor the heritage of the community. Tallanochee means two pines, representing the two species of planted pines on the property. 

• We have a small country store, where we offer homemade goods for sale, including decorative pine cones and wood products that have been procured from our farm.  Click here to shop with us https://tallanocheefarms.etsy.com. 
• In the near future, we plan to offer tree seedlings for sale that have naturally reproduced on the farm. 
• We also plan to offer a short term RV rental site with a beautiful view of Bogan Mountain, concrete pad and full hookups. We anticipate this being available in late 2024 or early 2025. 
• We are also very open to our property being used in the film industry. We recognize Georgia is radiply growing in the film industry and would like to be a part of this economic development.
